Our thematic

focus

Comprehensive Healthcare and Rehabilitative Services:

BI prioritizes enhancing PWDs' quality of life in resource-constrained settings. Strategic partnerships with POs/DPOs address healthcare access, awareness, rehabilitation, and inclusive sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), particularly for young PWDs.

Inclusive Lifelong Education:

Inclusive education tackles stigma and barriers for CWD, addressing challenges such as low enrolment, parental awareness, limited resources, inadequate qualified teachers, and insufficient disability-friendly infrastructure. The pillar aims to enhance access to quality education, aligning with SDG 4 and Tanzania's Universal Primary Education commitment.

Livelihoods Development and Social Inclusion:

Focusing on inclusive, resilient communities, this strategic area aims to alleviate extreme poverty among PWDs. It emphasizes livelihood expansion, resource access, skills enhancement, and active participation in social, economic, and political processes, also including community preparedness in high-risk areas and Child Safeguarding.
